We are generational agency, the Young Women for Life (YWfL)
The Young Women for Life (YWfL) movement was established by a group of young women living in informal settlements and township settlements and rural areas of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape and Kwazulu Natal.
With a membership of over 4 000 between the ages of 15- to 30, the movement is made up of rape survivors, ex-sex workers, single mothers living in inhumane conditions of informal settlements. Members of the movement believe that they can overcome adversity and drive change by identifying their own solutions to their problems and by speaking directly to powerful groups and decision-makers.
