The young women for life movement is made up of women in informal settlements and remote rural areas that are rape survivors, and survivors of domestic violence. They work closely with association of tavern owners.
Both have approached the Church for pastoral accompaniment as they advocate for an end to violence against women and alcohol abuse in informal settlements and rural communities. Their work include: challenging how the justice system deals with rape cases, developing evidence-based mobilization of communities to prevent violence and alcohol abuse
