Indeed, nothing genuinely human fails to raise an echo in their hearts.” (Gaudium et Spes 1).
At the heart of Church walking with the victims of structural justice in Africa is the school of prayer – Praying with them while listening to what God is telling us through their prayers. Praying includes a narrative approach to the healing of painful memories. They are encouraged to share their stories and then turn their stories into a spiritual reflection and prayer. The spiritual reflection and prayer represents the spirituality of seeing and encountering God through the eyes that have cried.
